Land Use (CALUC) Meeting

Re: Proposed Rezoning and Development

2002 Richmond Road, 1909 Birch Street, 1769 Pembroke Street. (known as the Turner Building site)

North Jubilee Neighbourhood Association invites North Jubilee community members and neighbours to an information meeting on September 13th at 7:00 pm to hear from proponents of a new development at what is commonly referred to as the Turner Building site.

At this meetng developers – Empresa Propertes Ltd. and Cascadia Architects Inc. – will present plans. Members of the public will be invited to make comments and ask questions of the developer. These comments and questions will form a letter to be submitted to Mayor and Council by the North Jubilee Neighbourhood Association.

Members of the public are also urged to submit their own comments online to the City of Victoria’s Development Tracker and/or to email Mayor and Council


The proposal calls for demolition of the existing Turner building and construction of a 6-storey 55-unit commercial and residential building on its former site.

Agenda:

  1. 7:00 meeting call to order.

  2. Introduction to representatives from Cascadia Architects, Empresa Properties and Biophilia Design Collective

    (landscape designer).

  3. Presentation.

  4. Questions and comments for the developer from members of the community in attendance.

  5. 9:00 meeting adjournment.

  1. To support a vision for the present and future growth of the North Jubilee Neighbourhood by monitoring its physical and social evolution as a family-oriented community NOT to own, operate or manage a social club.

  2. To create a community forum by offering membership to all those who live, operate a business or own property in the North Jubilee Neighbourhood.
